No apocalypse not now takes the title from an essay written by Jacques Derrida. In this piece Ariel Efraim Ashbel and friends offer an exuberant, critical and equally hopefully take on the question of the world’s end. Investigating apocalyptic culture through a myriad of perspectives, the show envisions and dwells in new worlds unveiling the potentials and aesthetics of a reality after human kind. The performance proposes a revelation: joy without nihilism, optimism without compliance, and fun without irony.
